I have all my ‘loose’ paper photos in a Creative Memories Power Sort Box. It was purchased a long time ago, and I did a search and found this version, which is smaller than what I have, but still the same set up.
Another option I like is the Photo Craft Keeper by Simply Tidy. This is great for smaller groups of photos and can be labeled on the edges so you can quickly see what is in each one. (This can used as storage for anything. Pinterest has lots of examples - first aid supplies, small craft supplies etc.). The Photo Craft Keeper also comes in all clear containers if the rainbow colors are too much.
However you decide to store your photos, please choose something that is acid and lignin free to protect them. Extreme heat, cold and moisture will destroy your photos, so they should only be kept in a temperature controlled environment.
