Several years ago I took all of our family’s old Super 8mm films to a local camera shop and had them put the film onto editable DVD’s. Once I had them mostly in order from oldest to newest, I connected the clips and added music, creating DVD’s of growing up that I was able to share with my family. We were all able to watch them together over a holiday gathering, making it even more special that we could share the memories. |
There are camera shops that provide this service. I was able to go to a local place, but there are also many places you can send your film to that will ship it all back to you with the new DVD’s, a thumb drive or they will put in the cloud for you to download. Look for places that also scan photos and slides so you can have all your media transferred together.
