If we go by the Pareto Principle (the 80/20 rule), we wear 20% of what we own 80% of the time, which means there are lots of things in our wardrobe that don’t get worn.
Ideally our closets would have 80% fashion basics of what we wear daily, with 20% for special event clothes.
A great way to truly see what you wear is to turn all the hangers around in your closet, meaning you hang the hook over the back of the rod. When you put away something you’ve worn, turn the hanger around, putting the hook over the front of the rod. In a years time it will be easy to see what you wear and what you don’t.
